A private sunrise trip to Mount Batur: pick-up around 02:30, a guided headlamp climb of about two hours, sunrise on the rim and a soak in the hot springs on the way down. It suits reasonably fit travellers, as the trail is steep and loose in places. The mountain guide is paid separately.

How hard is the Mount Batur trek?
It takes about two hours up on a steep, loose trail in the dark. You do not need experience, but you should be reasonably fit and wear shoes with good grip.
Do we need a guide?
Yes, the climb is done with a licensed local mountain guide. The guide fee is not included, and we arrange the guide and confirm the cost before you pay.
